Make Memories with Mary...It's not too late!!!
There is still time to register your child for VBS. This week the children made a Marian Shrine. They learned about Mary's mother and father. They learned new songs and dance routines. On July 13 the children will be making flowers to decorate the grotto. They will be challenged by an obstacle course. On July 27 we are planning a Marian procession. Please contact Pam Hurley at Holy Name or Chris Baumgartner at Our Lady of Sorrows.
Beginning with the Sunday Masses of June 6, 2021 (including the anticipatory Mass on Saturday, June 5), Archbishop Schnurr is reinstating the obligation to attend Sunday and Holy Day Mass for the faithful of the Archdiocese
Vacation time! Traveling? Need to find a Mass near you?
Here are some resources to help you as you travel this summer:
Religious Education Classes !
Religious education classes will begin September 8 in the parish hall from 6:30 to 7:45. Classes are open to children kindergarten through eight grade. We have prep classes for those preparing to make their first communion and confirmation. Registration forms will be available online and in church racks in the next couple of weeks. If you are interested in volunteering to be a classroom assistance or are interested in being a catechist please contact Pam Hurley at (513)374-0332
EMA Backpack Program- Looking for Assistance!
The Edgewood Ministerial Assoc. is looking for someone to take on the ministry of the Backpack program. This program provides food for school age children on the weekends and when school is not in session. School personnel and children look forward to receiving these bags every week. The program would involve picking up bags of food from Shared Harvest, delivering to schools, monitoring bags needed on weekly basis. If you would like more information or are interested in volunteering please contact Donna Lenos at (513)477-3109"
The Year of St. Joseph- Receive a plenary indulgence!
Archbishop Schnurr has designated the following three parishes to serve as temporary shrines during this year of St. Joseph: St. Joseph, North Bend (www.stjosephnorthbend.com); St. Joseph Dayton (www.stjosephdayton.org); and St. Joseph, Wapakoneta (www.petersburgparishes.org). For more information, please check out the websites of these parishes.
Do you have religious articles that you want to share with others - Rosaries, prayer cards (not memorial cards), books, medals, etc? Sometimes we find these items when a relative or friend passes away, or we receive them in the mail with mission appeals. The Notre Dame Tabernacle Society accepts religious articles and sends them to missionary priests, in poor areas, who request them to give to their congregations. The Tabernacle Society is also in serious need of additional volunteer sewers. New sewers will be greatly welcomed to join the ministry. You may view our website NotreDameTabernacleSociety.org for more information about our ministry, and to learn how you might use your talents to help spread the Gospel, and allow unlimited graces to flow your way! Please contact email@example.com or call 513-708-7163 to plan a visit."
